dude amazon had NO traditional metrics - it's price to sales ratio was in the 30s and 20s in 2000's - I was all over it then and price to sales was a new concept... AMZN had sales but no margin. The AMZN business today is web services / cloud. The ecom business, believe it or not, is already valued at close to zero. It's a terrible analog for the electrification of everything and so to is the 2000 bubble. In terms of traditional metrics the pe of nasdaq in 2000 was 45x ... today the trailing 12 month is <20x for both the S&P and Nasdaq. In the context of v.low 10 year bond rates that may be reasonable. what's happen now is because of the effects of covid + china + uncle vlad ... some of that is what needs to resolve... just my opinion.
