From IGO thread I thought interesting posted by dbdesigns:
Lithium, Nickel, Cobalt pricesThe only reason the Goldnan Sachs would be talking down the metals is because they are way short. Anyone with half a brain knows that these 3 metals prices are set to go into orbit. The whole global mining production of lithium for 2021 was 87,500 tonnes. Thats only enough Lithium for 5 million cars. There are 388 million cars registered in US, China and Europe. All car manufacturers are increasing their electric vehicle production. Lithium price have increased 400% in 2021. Anyone that would believe these metals prices are going to crash is mindless. Can price be manipulated? Yes, but you are gojng to have to have deep, deep pockets, but eventually like trying to hold back the tide. Prices of lb of Lithium, Nickel and Copper atm are same as a couple cups coffee. Give me a break. In fact a lb of copper is cheaper than a cup of coffee. With IGO now producing battery grade Lithium and a major global nickel producer the sky is the limit for this company
