NEA - Nearmap Receives New Patent for Aerial Mapping System
Nearmap announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company a new patent for its aerial imaging systems. Patent Number 8,497,905, issued on 30 July 2013 and entitled "Systems and methods of capturing large area images in details including cascaded cameras and/or calibration features", is directed at utilising arrays of cameras to efficiently capture high-resolution PhotoMaps.

nearmap (ASX:NEA) is pleased to announce that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted the company a new patent for its aerial camera system.
Patent Number 8,675,068, issued on 18 March 2014, is directed at nearmap's innovative multi-resolution aerial camera system, used for efficiently capturing high-resolution PhotoMaps.
Commenting on the granting of the patent, nearmap Managing Director Simon Crowther said: "We are delighted to have had this patent granted by the US Patent Office. It extends our patent protection for the company's core intellectual property and adds to our growing international patent portfolio".
