I was near Miss Day once. I was close, but no cigar. Well, what a night last night was. SPI futures traded in a 99 point range, high being 5922, low being 5823, with a close of 5829, down 89 points on high volume of 20,983 contracts. Based on that move, my normal calculation would say the high R line is 5957, low S line is 5759, with the pivot point at 5858, but one would 'think' she would bounce off 5800 or thereabouts if she gets there. Gaps up at 64, 70, 96, 5902, and 5912. No gaps on the downside. So, it's Friday, and with a big move last night, the question is, did the SPI do all the work last night on the downside, or, is there more to go ? SPI is indicating XJO to be down 1.65 pct to 5839, so is it a 5800 day, or not that bad ?. Red across the board in the US, and the VIX up 30.68 pct. I hate going short at the bottom, so I'll be watching the opening gap and the green arrow for clues today, but being nimble is the key. Have a nice day.
