Last Thursday, NLC awarded a contract to Knowledge Infrastructure Systems for the importation of 800,000 metric tonnes of non-coking coal with a maximum-allowed moisture of 25%. With shipping costs and insurance it weighs in at $55 USD per tonne. $44 million.
The equivalent volume of Coldry would cost $24 million.
Half the price. Half the moisture.
Value that! Downrampers!
