You can use any platform available (incl. IRESS) as long as your strategy is sound and with discipline intact at all times. If you have not been riding the stocks both ways be careful with your stock selection, time frame, fund allocations and ALWAYS have some additional BACK UP cash handy. That way, if there is panic selling you won't become... "collateral damage".

I found many moons ago that one way traffic was not doing me a favour. But, I can tell you I had some painful experiences when I started. Be prepared to "take the pain" as one of my friends likes to say. And start small.
