    Folks

This is the critical part of the well. So they r bound to take some time with data collection & analysis.

Once again keeping it educational (thanks to the power of Google & public domain), here's what a log for this section, from the nearest well North Scott Reef-1 drilled a while back, looks like.

It shows the different lithology from 4020 to 4350m. The polka dots denote the different Sand units on that well.

As u can see, the thicker sandy section between 4200-4300m recorded a gas show (think it was 66m) as did 4100-4200m.
The gamma-ray log suite shows the response of the sand on the log, i.e more the shift to the left for the thick sand section.

This will help in determining the eventual Net:Gross ratio of the sands on the current well for the 216m+ thickness.

They spudded P#1 on Australia Day, another few weeks of wait is all worthwhile looking fwd.

Another critical part during logging is the recording of the reservoir pressure. This is what makes the gas flow in the end. So, IMHO, anything over 2000 psi for this sort of thickness should b good. In the meantime, have a read of GDN's announcement from today & tomorrow to get an idea of the log analysis.

    Cheers
