It may be raining where you are but it certainly is not raining in Kingaroy. I measured 103mm from late Friday to Monday morning. Yesterday we had a brief shower (2mm) but there has been no rain today.

I checked a weather site a few minutes ago - it suggests 1mm tomorrow & 2mm Friday. Therefore, there should not be any further rain delays for atleast several days (providing that weather forecast is on the money).

As far as predicting when ignition would be. I posted Monday (from memory) that I thought it would be this week but from what Len is suggesting it may not be for another 2 weeks.

I drove out near the Cougar site last night to where you have best visibility & there was no sign of a flare or flares. I have memorised the lighting around the site so hopefully it should not be too difficult to see a flare following ignition of the coal.
