After days,weeks,months of research and analysis i have come up with the following numbers.

1st half year 15/16 Sales 447.2 mil

Net Profit 20.8 mil

The above figures are based on large increase in first quarter sales as compared to last year and an increase in second quarter sales , however at a smaller % compared to the previous quarter due to coming off a smaller % loss as compared to last year.
The big driver for the increase in net profit compared to last year is apart from the large increase in sales from the improvement in GP ( even on the back of a falling dollar ). Increased foot traffic, colder winter will have led to a large increase in sales of higher margin products.
New stores ( 50 plus over last 18 months ) are now bedded down and non profitable stores have been/are being closed.
Reduced costs for store opening's , relays etc and a reduction in occupancy costs will add to the bottom line.
If i may can i add a new award category.

The SLC award
( Slc a long time TRS contributor and sparring partner of crazy has always provided a well researched, balanced and thoughtful approach to his postings even when faced/confronted with the likes of crazy , i also think he has a crush on Ms Boom Boom )

The recipient of the SLC award shall be the one ( if the occasion arises ) that is the closest to both Sales and profit. ie, if the same person wins both the Tufftech and the Kittyboomboom medal they will also take out the prestigious SLC Award.
