Excellent future for Prima ...

Kool Mints in the old mans glove Box as we drove 2 days to QLD in the School Holidays

... guys .. best thread ever !

.. watching the footy ... with a bloody big smile on the face with the ol memories

.. my old man was a tight a--- and we were the last kids on the block to get a colour Telly

... he even bought home a Beta video recorder ... picked technology like I pick stocks ( with the exception of Prima of course ) .. thank God in those days he couldnt 'punt ' on the stock market

... and yeah ... you make me laugh ... the old bloke over the road used to run out every morning with his shovel to scoop up the horse shite from the milko .. ah the ol 3am clip clop clip clop.. kids just dont get it like that any more

.. and those full cream milk bottles with those silver foil caps, which were put into the old white 6 slot wire basket ... were a bit tastier than the triangular milk cartons you'd get at play lunch

... but at least you'd be able to run home to catch a few b &w episodes of Tarzan or Batman before mum dished up some Saladas

... and then on Saturdays mum would load us kids onto the Glenferrie Rd tram ...with our Duffle coats...and send us off to St Moritz in StKilda to go ice skating.... in jeans ... with the blue legs afterwards...

... most embarrassing whan the old man turned up in the new family car .. a citroen Pallas ... one of those pointy things that went upumped up and down when you started it up

was forced to ride My Malvern star to school ... but it was better than riding my sisters Dragstar .. with the big Sissy bar and reflector.and streaners ..... but soon I was too cool and got some Marlin Bars for my bike ...
