Im a me to for the winter solstice defiantly Akki !
Right across the sky we get sunset colours like the sun is rising at the same time .
Being clear or the sky is crisp kind of may make the difference?
The distance the light can travel seems be the key point for the colour ?
Like diving the colour changes with depth so around this time is perfect thats for sure for what ever reason it is ?
Just need some northern mesosphere people perhaps to show us their sunsets !
Im all full of google this year as loving the sunset threads thats for sure .
How to explain why they are so good is another matter all together .
Anyway this was one friend took on the 2nd this month in our area .
I have preference about 14 days either side of the shortest day in that rough area for those amazing winter sunsets happen . So will be watching the thread thats for sure in the next few weeks see if they come again on the other side of the shortest day .
You can have your dinner down on that jetty as is a resort here that loves the sunset watch . Thats the swing basin i guess for the marina . But many boats eternally moor there in cyclone season an end up on the beach
