Tounge in cheek there dnyland???
I see that the Solar Systems website has had a makeover of sorts?
This particular page has got me thinking because I believe it is new or rehashed since the Mildura plant was put on care and maintenance?
Why would they put the bit highlighted in red in there?
Mildura
In June 2013, Solar Systems Reached Practical Completion of the 1.5MW Mildura Solar Demonstration Facility.
The site is located in Carwarp, a small rural town approximately 40km south of Mildura, within the municipal boundaries of the Mildura Rural City Council.
Solar Systems has deployed 40 HCPV Dense Array dish systems along with associated electrical interconnect and distribution network equipment.
Stage 1 was fully commissioned and set up to feed clean renewable energy into the national electricity grid. The site has the potential to increase peak electrical generation capacity to 100MW.
The site was operated for one year post commissioning and successfully demonstrated the HCPV technology. The facility is now in care and maintenance mode.
Local suppliers, industry and trades interested in tendering for work should register at the Victorian Industry Capability Network Regional Gateway.
