Long term investing is tough. You get caught up in the "Fundamentals", the potential of the company, the upside in earnings and stock price,...

Short term investing, or momentum investing (and even pure technical trading) is easier. Ignore everything but the trend. Get in, set the trailing stop and get out.

I do the first (and not very well apparently at the moment) not the second.

So the key then (for me) is managing my own expectations. Announcements, updates, plans, etc are all "Point in Time" and "Subject to Change (without notice)" because there are so many moving parts to them.

All just interpretation.
