Has its pro & cons, saw a gyrocoptr trial over a proposed pit & pipeline area, didnt like it, vibrations & control issue etc, think its still early days for that in Oz.
Aircraft mounted camera r lots stable plus one can feed in the flyzone polygon coords, have the mosaic stiched in no time at whatever resolution reqd by the client along with other complimentary data terrain DEM etc. Expensive yes, but the company could buy its own fleet of small crafts eventually, if it wants to keep doing this business. NEA have come a long way since it was free just around the Brissie floods & has its applcn's more so in Metro area where majors developments r coming up rather then the mining/dining boom.
