Do realise what a logical corollary is for your post? Well it goes something like this:

"I don't like people who are not family men and Christian."

As for the assertions made about Tony Abbott's community work and fights on behalf of aboriginal people; many Australians, self included, volunteer to do such work. Some of us even acknowledge the need for change in our Constitution that reflects Aborigines, their heritage and aspirations.

As for being a good Australian man proud of his country - are you suggesting there are no good Australian women proud of their country?

How can you make such a claim when Abbott has spent three years mocking and denigrating Australia under Labor? As for his turbulent times at university, his abuse of parliamentary protocols and the judgements he has cast on Julia Gillard, Peter Slipper and Craig Thompson; ... well!

Prior to the 2010 Election in Victoria Ted Baillieu made the sorts of promises that you're attributing to Abbott - two years in and his government has NO runs on the board and now trails 45:55 2PP! Just lots of broken promises!

Abbott scared the pants of mainstream Australians with his misrepresentations and distortions over the CT/ETS and MRRT. He has already promised the world's greatest nanny state but given NO indication as to how it will be funded. He will NEVER deliver!

That explains why even Gillard now leads 45:34 as preferred PM, that primary support for the Coalition has plunged 4% while that for Labor has risen 3% and why Abbott's disapproval rating is 58% on this NewsPoll.
