I'm fortunate enough to have an excellent independent in my electorate, so can avoid choosing between the shite sandwich or the shite sandwich with cheese. Best thing about independents is once they get in the are almost impossible to dislodge as voters quickly see what independent thought and representation looks like.
If we had more indi and less corporate duoploy we might get legislation aimed at Quiet Australians instead of property developers, retail giants and the marginal electorate of the day.
