Much is said about avoiding the majors because of the 'tricks' they do to our produce. For example, prolonged refrigeration, gases used to promote or delay ripening etc.
So, I bought my bananas form an independent produce shop.
The problem I have is that the bananas were bought green as gree can get on Thursday. They have been stored at room temperature. Perth has warm weather at the moment so promoting ripening should not be an issue. Even one placed in the fridge last night did not react to the usual fast ripening.
Why are the bananas not ripening and why is the process a speckled effect. This is the 2nd time a buy from an independent has resulted similar.
Is it them mucking about with the produce because they don't refrigerate each night, and the majors are being crucified, much ado nothing?
Apology if I'm missing something but something isn't natural here.
