I wrote an email to Mr knight today asking about IP etc....his answer:
"Our collaboration agreement with Kinki University does not anticipate any payment from or to Kinki university. Kinki have been engaged in researching the Northern Bluefin Tuna for 30 years now, although I notice they say 23 years on their website. http://ccpc01.cc.kindai.ac.jp/english/e_r/index.htm
I am sure there is a lot more detail on their web site about their Tuna research but I will leave it to you to search.
The Clean Seas board has understood that Kinki is, and has been, engaged in closing the lifecycle of Northern Bluefin Tuna for at least 23 years. This is the reason we are happy to have them as collaboration partners. These guys have already gone a long way to inventing the wheel.
