I keep getting my homepage on my browser as about:blank

Have changed it a number of times to google as my homepage.

However, the mongrel keeps coming back.

Also this Virus Protect has embedded itself onto my system
and does not want to go away.

Tried to get rid of it through add/remove programs.

However, he just won't go.

I have Norton AntiVirus protection and also have the Phishing Protection On.

Yet this sod got through.

I think both the Homepage issue and this latest Virus Protect program could be part of the same issue as they both came on about the same time.

Any advice as to how to get rid of these pests?

It won't even piss off from my taskbar the little scumbag.
