For what it's worth, with my 4 month old HP 17" you beaut everything, I've had to reinstall the CD for the Creative Extigy sound system three times. The sound just disappears, not only with the Extigy plugged in ,or out ,but also from the machine itself. Strange and restarts didn't help either, as didn't the message from the Sounds tag in My Computer saying the device was working properly. Reinstalling the CD works on mine. BTW, if anyone knows how to fix a flickering mouse cursor, please post. Not much on google that I can find??
