Only problem with land is you can't generate any income from it, which means you are a) out of pocket roughly double what you would be if you had a tenant and b) can't claim the interest as a tax expense because it isn't generating any income?
I am no expert but those were the two main conclusions I came to when looking at some land.
I joked about sticking a caravan on it and renting that out, haha.
