those opposed to capital punishment cannot claim to have open minds, and it is they whose ideas are rooted in concrete, still believing that somehow there is a perfect system yet to evolve that won't make mistakes. Get real. Human nature being what it is, the best we can do is to decide to which side the system we use is going to err. Presently it is acceptable here to allow some guilty people to continue to break the law and expose an unknown number of innocent members of society to danger rather than wrongly punish one person. Just whose rights do you believe have priority, the rights of one person, or the rights of the entire community?
