thanks for the reply garykildey
i am currently trading with commsec, my underlying question is whether i actually will need to have $10000 in my account if i end up selling at a profit at $12000. by the 6th...
because for as i can remember back then when i asked about the t+1 trading, i had a few members tell me that i wouldnt need to have the $10000 as long as i sold the next day. i would like to know how long i can actually drag out the time frame of the investment without actually being charged.
its risky i understand but i have the funds to cover for some losses if they do occur, im doing this just for the knowledge, not something i would do on the regular, so i can understand how the buy/sell mechanics work.
if anyone can lead me in the right direction for these following:
1. how long can i hold the investment without being charged
2. will i need to have the funds for the full investment amount, not just for the difference (ie loss)
be so kind to help HC members :D
