The formula for the area of that circle is A = π_r_2.
Substituting the accepted value of 3.14 for π, so a 100mm( approx 4" diameter) or 2"radius multiplied by itself then by π (3.14) the circle has a surface area so
2 x 2 x 3.14 +around 12.56 sq inches
An circle with a diameter of 200mm(approx 8" or Radius of 4" ) radius squared multiplied by π is around 50.24 sq inches, i.e 4" x 4" x 3.14= 50.24 sq inches
and a 300mm (slightly less that 12" say 6" radius) has a surface area of around 113 sq inches in surface area. but possibly slightly less because 300mm is not quite a 12"diameter, i.e. 6" x 6" x 3.14=113.04
So around four time the surface area by going from 100mm to 200mm but by going from 200 mm to 300 mm is around double the surface area area compared to a 200mm wafer, which is still substantial.
