the bigger concern is the degree of vulnerability within the players for being able to be manipulated into this type of activity and behaviour. it was clearly not part the team plan as determined by the coaching staff and the head coach, nor was it part of the adminstrations plan for the club. the deciet element is concerning. if there is not proven research data and performance measurements available regards this evolving technique then the whole thing would be deemed a complete waste of time and in the class of placebo sports science. if there is scientifically accepted data on the benefits of such techniques then they need to be introduced to the public. innovation in improving and maintaining physical condition is an integeral part of pro sport, the needle melodrama is at best innovative sports science and at worst placebo chemistry and voodoo magic. and if the saints arn't front runners in the melodrama there can't be anything wrong with it all.
