I mean, let me break down what I think you're saying....
1/ We currently have negative gearing
2/ These general graphs about the broader Australian economy are bloody good looking
THEREFORE!
3/ negative gearing is producing these fantastic looking graphs
THEREFORE
4/ If we abolish negative gearing the graphs will turn ugly
THEREFORE
5/ we must keep negative gearing
as I said ....

Just to clarify - your 'argument' is entirely focused on the merit, or lack thereof, of someone else's argument? The topic of discussion could be on who can do more pushups... and you would still be saying the same thing?
