Fully agree Malaga that is the big difference between us and the bears as they tend to generalise the whole market while those with a more positive attitude are focused on their area of interest and have a far better understanding of what is likely to happen to that area.
The bears are undoubtedly right for some areas but that is far from the whole market.
CW has some good points the key one is extremes most people don't sit at them as such while things may get tighter the vast majority will survive. Additionally there is a high likelihood that many things will be done both internal and external to Australia that keep things going. If the price of money goes through the roof you can bank on significant QE around the world, and whether we like it or not the government will intervene in more and more areas with subsidies/incentives.
