Whether you like it or not, property investment will always exist - and for good reason.
There are plenty of people who move around 6 months here 1 year there - imagine if they were forced to but and sell all the time - this would not be fair.
Property investment is like any other investment., You buy a business, your interest is tax deductible - your plant and equipment's depreciation is tax deductible. That's the way the tax system works and it isn't going to change.
It does not make sense to me to allow these deductions for your PPR as it is not meant to be an investment vehicle - it is your home.
