"What value is a share trader to the general economy who makes losses year after year. What use are all the businesses that fail and have written off deductions in setting up - called enterprise and the cost thereof."

Share traders - not a lot of immediate value, not sure if the value to the capital markets of the liquidity they provide.

Share investors - plenty of value in having people to fund business. Doesn't mean losses should be able to be written off against our personal exertion income.

Quarantining investment borrowing losses could only be gamed by people who had many houses, and had income each year. Wouldn't affect the bulk of these losses (or tempt so many people into what they think is a one-sided bet).
