A turbulent year soon is going to leave and a new year will start , hopefully better than 2020.
Yesterday, Thursday 24 December , the UST were negative -1,05% . September 1st negative yield was -1,10% . Average annual -0,65%.
If negative returns will continue and funds + institutionals decide to abandon the bonds , then gold is their best choice. Without them the GP price will remain around 1800 and gold stocks at present levels.
The process for long time transfers from bonds to gold takes time. This year we will see real negative returns stay firmed around -1,0% . This is only the beginning for higher gold prices. Macroeconomic factors indicate that negative real returns will reach -2,5% if not lower , as happened from 1945 to 1980. I am 57 years old and second generation jewellery manufacturer, i remembered early 70s. MTH is my largest holding.
