NEGI is a long way off

Sorry to be continuously 'negative' but I find that most posts on this thread have been overly optimistic. The fall in the SP today, against expectations here should be a wakeup call. The following is the reality, in my opinion.

Grattan Institute's Tony Wood said the project needed to stand on its own two feet, despite the "nation-building" commentary from government.
"It's very difficult to see a case for putting public money into it," he said.
Mr Wood says there's a long way to go before the project becomes a certainty, as commercial gas transportation contracts have yet to be sealed.
Delivering gas at a competitive price is also a hurdle. Getting gas thousands of kilometres from the NT to NSW buyers at the $6 to $8 a gigajoule needed to be competitive, "sounds like a big challenge," Mr Wood said.
