now another example of how one can make a big mistake

I know a couple, they had a good landlord, he was prepared to sell to them, when they got their house in order...ie both needed full time jobs, and she was studying, working part time to get the qualifications she needed...

after 3 years, they were both earning good money, he gave them the chance to buy again...basically take over the loan balance...he was trying to help them out

she had changed her mind, was onto a huge salary, partying etc...she said no
now they have split up, she wants a half share of the capital growth on the house...it has doubled in value in the 10 years they were renting it
but they were only renting....now she regrets not buying, as she would have got half the proceeds...
hindsight is wonderful....or not
