we should not have any unless they can hold their own. The loss of the industry would not be a negative to our economy, it would be a positive. The only argument to maintain an industry (and imo it is a weak one), would be the requirement to maintain certain auto manufacturing abilities within our country to ensure the ability to build vehicles in the event of a world conflict. Ignoring that requirement, what economical benefit do these auto manufacturers bring to Australia?
