Humble IMHO there were ways to stop this from happening if we wanted to, but many decided to opt for the easier option to bury their heads deep into the sand.
As they say, if you want to straighten a sapling from growing crooked, you have to straighten it up while it is young and malleable. For if not, you will never be able to straighten it when it becomes to thick.
The only way out then is to use the chainsaw.
Here we all noticed that the sapling was crowing crooked and we just sat there watching it growing crooked instead of making any attempt at straighten it.
Now, we are all paying the consequences of it all.
All in all, someone has got handsomely rewarded, perhaps the Board people did, but definitely none of us.
