abuzade.....depends if you are longterm or trader on SIP and how much the franking credits mean to you and what percentage of your portfolio are SIP...some say SIP is fully valued and others believe it's a bargain!
personally I am a short term and have been in and out a few times today.

My experience with divi's is that it's often not worth holding out to sell ex-divi....take Telstra as a recent example (which I got burnt on thinking it would not drop ex-div full amount...did it in spades and would have been better buying after the post divi sell off)...ateotd nobody can be sure! perhaps hedge your bets!
