I could be wrong here Legume, but the NTA that you refer to is the after tax value for 31st dec (2012) the latest available figure, the NTA figure normally used ( I think) is the pre tax, which was $4.93 on that date. Incidentally the closing share price on 31st dec was $5.07.
So yes AFI was trading at a premium, but nowhere near 25%
LIC's are fast becoming my favoured stock investments, with very low management costs , and solid fully franked dividends , why bother with individual shares when you can decide on your sector and select a suitable LIC.
I hold WAM, and ARG in LIC,s.
Perhaps a bit late now to pick up cheap LIC,s but always on the look out for LIC,s trading at a discount.
