nice selective reporting of the facts sydney!

the chart you posted is a one year one.....how about posting the 5 year, 10 or 15 year chart ??? Any investment in gold over this time period would still have beaten the ASX or any other index hollow!

the world is still in an economic mess. since the gfc all thats really happened is that private debt has moved from sick companies onto govenments. Last time when the gfc happened.....govt's had tha balance sheets to be able to absord and bail out their econnomies. now they don't any more.....take the US govt as an example....their total federal debt was at 5 trillion at the start of 2000.....its now around 16 trillion dollars...and that is just the federal debt....if you add on state and local government debt then their debt to gdp is around 300%...worse then greece! buying a goldie like ncm is taking a bet that this merrygo around that we're on will not constantly defy gravity and will have to stop at some stage......when it does....watch gold fly...

gold's biggest asset is that is is CONSTANT....where as money supply is multiplying at a shockingly high rate....
