They were worried about their jobs and their families futures, given that wigs had been the fashion for more than a generation.

But time and fashion moved on and wigs were relegated to specific jobs like some government officials and barristers etc.

Likewise, society has moved on. The internal combustion engine's days are numbered.

You can hold on and hope things won't change. Try to drum up fear to prevent things from changing or even petition the government to stop things from changing but the change has already happened. The genie is out of the bottle.

Embrace the change. See the positive in this.

If nothing else, for the price of a mid priced BMW you can get an electric car that will suck the doors off just about anything you will likely meet on the roads in your day to day.

As a bonafide car enthusiast I am excited by this new chapter in car evolution.
