What defines the market? The ASX100 or ASX200, DOW, NASDAQ. There is so much superannuation, 401k and index funds invested in these indices because of their mandates, that I believe those indices have developed a base. The Russell 2000 and Small index's are much more aligned ot the state of the economy and the real market in my opinion.
So what I am looking for is a sign of a resurging smaller cap market as interest rates start to correct. it has been a long time coming.. A few commentators are starting to talk about a switch to small caps and I think NEU is more likely to respond to that in my opinion.
Also NEU runs on news because the big carrots are NNZ2591 progress, possible M&A event and to a lesser extent Daybue rollout. Daybue rollout has been predominant factor the past months as I believe success in the 3rd indication was priced in. NNZ2591 should be more predominant as the pathway through Phase III becomes known and they move along that path.
