Hi Tangentland.......one needs to acknowledge the fundamental (there's that word again) difference between an OPENING gap (up or down).....and a TRADING gap (up or down).
The former is generated DAILY across a multitude of stocks ........and on any given day, the latter may not even be generated at all......across every stock.
Cheers.....and keeping in mind , for us every day punters, the TRADING GAP is the one that matters.
