I'm not sure why you would feel the need to respond like that. The last time I looked there is nothing to say that you needed to respond but the world has many types of people, there are those that are mature enough to realise that they made a stupid comment and cope it on the chin (this is not you in this case) and others that fight back like some 2 year old with zero emotional intelligence that had their feelings hurt.
I'm not sure why you would feel the need to respond like that....
