neu v anp

ok, I couldn't resist doing a quick head to head.

I'll just scratch the surface, others can dig deeper.

Market Caps:
neu $26.58m
anp $36.36m

Cash in hand:
neu $11.352m (28th Oct)
anp $1.474m (27 Oct)

Drugs:
They both have a number in development. neu are more advanced with two phase 2's well in progress, and another starting soon.
Both companies have proven safety and mode of action. Neither have proven full effectiveness in humans.

Markets:
Both large. neu's is probably larger, with no competition at all.

Partners:
Both have been having talks with large pharmas. anp are certainly being noticed and are probably ahead on this score.

Forward Going:
Both neu's phase 2 trials are funded by third parties, so their cash burn is low. These third parties will probably fund further trial too, if efficacy is shown.

neu states that they have enough cash until beyond 2013. Options being exercised might take that to 2015 (with further dilution of course).

anp will probably have to raise some funds soon.

In conclusion, neu is far better value imho, but anp is still cheap and worth holding. Just because neu is stupidly cheap it doesn't mean that anp is not cheap too.
