i don't think we all have to spend time on arguing about the takeover price. I reality we are all in different circumstances with respect to profit and expectations and ultimately we will all get a say in the final price. It will either be a single company takeover or a bidding war. If the bidding starts the price usually escalates so that everyone will be happy. If it is a single bid and fair and reasonable then we will all accept and the deal is done. if considered unfair or unreasonable by the shareholders then the takeover price will need to be increased. The only time you dont get a say is in the event that you are in the <10% of the company who reject the price as compulsory acquisition will ensue. If and when it comes we can all try and influence everyone's decision to accept the offer or not. FYI I am looking at the circa $100 range. I personally dont think the board will recommend a $50 bid.
