I can’t see the benefits of Acadia buying out Trof now. If I were them I’d be more interested channeling monies to 2591, the superior molecule.
They wouldn’t recover $1 billion for 10 years or so, and by that time the benefits of orphan drug designation and patent protection is pretty much gone.
The only benefit I’d see is for NEU - get extra cash and also potentially cutting any future ties with future drug development.
