I love Jon as a CEO but this presentation absolutely solidified in my mind the need for the company to engage expertise around messaging and marketing.
I understand that we are not specifically targeting Autism and I know that Retts and the 4 conditions (plus HIE) are not technically considered Autism, but the argument could be made that they once were considered part of the Spectrum. The argument could also be made that they share many symptoms/pathologies with Autism and their seems to be applicability or a theory of applicability. Can't hurt to mention the patent as well.
I just think that making even a loose connection to such a topical condition is momentum changing. The Culper Report preyed on investing fears and when there was a modicum of evidence that could be interpreted as supportive (revised Acadia guidance), the SP took a beating. Sentiment and psychology matters.
The same can apply in reverse. A reference to an enormous indication 'preys' on investment hope and there is more than a modicum of evidence that could be interpreted as supportive of that view. Sentiment and psychology matters.
I just think we are not delivering that message and it's a missed opportunity. JP talked about momentum trading and I think we are missing a trick to help reverse momentum.
