IMO, the root cause of our SP woes was, is and will be LACK of buying pressure - apart from at the times of the wonderful positive news that intermittently drops, which is then controlled down by the shorters and game players. It is an absolute doddle for them and will be until the market wakes up. This may only be when (if) an undeniably positive PMS P3 eventuates - but that is sometime down the track.
At that time, and together with the whole background 2591 story, the penny may finally drop. Wouldn't want to be short then.
The SBB may be fulfilling the twin objectives of reducing SOI and temporarily propping the SP from the abysmal level it could reach in its absence.
Really a matter of patience, coupled with quite low risk. Sad that the market operates in this vulture like manner, but that is what money does (IMO).
