Interesting comments from JP - I have underlined points that stand out to me. Looks like we are going to get 1-2 more conditions, given PWS seems to be off the table currently. Also of interest is something that I have been thinking about lately and that is the potential "simplicity" of running the HIE trial. Seems like it might be much easier to navigate than our current Neurodevelopmental trials.
So how many syndromes do you think in the end 2591 could work on?
Gosh, I mean it's an exciting but frustrating thing because there are so many of these things, so many different things that come from different genes being disrupted and they're all terrible and we'd love to be ablet to treat them all. Obviously, that's not going to be practical, but we are looking at a few others in the laboratory at the moment, so I can foresee a situation where it could end up with five or six, I think that's quite possible and that's what we'd like to happen. And as I said, we're very excited about the brain injury side, which doesn't require a genetic test obviously, that's a really exciting program which is sitting alongside all of this. With that one, you don't have to go searching for the patients and testing them. They're there in the ICUs, in the big hospitals, so they're very easy to get to, so we think we could have a big impact there in a much more straight forward way if it's successful.
