You have prompted me to think about my position and I think in part, you are correct.
I have read papers that have said the opposite, but they could be wrong and/or I could have misunderstood them. I am prepared to accept that and to be fair, I don't think I am dogmatically suggesting that there is a link between vaccines and autism. I said in my previous response, that "we should be open to the possibility" and "we should be willing to explore the reasons". I would hardly say that is unequivocal support for the proposition that vaccines cause autism.
I am sceptical by nature - maybe that is what happens when you are raised in a cult and spend the first 25 years of your life being lied to - you question authority and don't accept wisdom from the "expert" class on face value. Rightly or wrongly, I prefer to do my own reading/research and mesh that with what the experts say. That inclination served me well during COVID and I am beyond grateful that I never got the gene therapy, so I am prepared to keep backing an instinct that has served me well since leaving the cult.
Perhaps my upbringing is blinding me to the lack of a connection and maybe I want to see a conspiracy where there is none. I have thought about that. There are however falsified studies published all the time. Studies are retracted all the time. Money is involved and when there is an incentive like that, people can and do take actions that are less than honourable and/or rigorously scientific. Again, not saying that is what happens all the time but I am not prepared to overlook the fact it does happen and I factor it into my thinking.
I don't mean to devolve this thread into a COVID debate but think its instructive. You can easily find 10 studies showing the effectiveness of Ivermectin and 10 that show it does nothing re COVID. I don't think that proposition is unique to Ivermectin and/or COVID - I think if you look, you could probably find conflicting science everywhere. Not only that, we were told for many years that the gene therapies would stop transmission, stop infection and were "safe and effective", and we now know that is not the case. There are issues and risks for many who take them.
Science can be both benevolently conflicting or malevolently biased/deceptive and I am not prepared to trust the science without question. I am also not prepared to ignore what I have seen with my own eyes in my family and in close friends whose children were also injured by vaccines.
You are right though, I am much more inclined to believe Neuren than I should and it's something I will consider as it may be clouding my investment decision!
