To be honest, WAG, merely buying shares in a company does nothing to support it. All you are doing is buying a piece of it from someone else in the hope that you can sell it to someone else for more than you paid for it. Or that it will produce dividends to give you a return on your investment. The company derives no benefit from your share ownership unless, perhaps, you participate in a capital raising based on your shareholding. Let's be naked about this; all this stuff about supporting the people who suffer from these debilitating conditions is just virtue signalling. If you were genuine about wanting to support those people you would be donating to their foundations, joining their support groups and pestering your local MP to give government support to them. Owning Neuren shares, arms manufacturing or oil company shares makes no difference in this world, other than to your own bank balance.
