perhaps the joke is on us for taking analysts' share price valuations seriously. is there such a creature as a super-wealthy analyst?
Surely if their valuations were consistently accurate, they would invest in the companies they considered to be screaming bargains, and end up super rich!
Occasionally the rare good and ambitious analyst decides to break out on their own and manage their own fund…but even then, they are just usually just investing other people's money and earning a salary from management fees.
